The Masters Programme department is currently led by Dr. John Nkamiang MNGRM CBMP, the pioneer Head of Department and is responsible for postgraduate education in communication and media studies. It offers advanced theoretical and practical training, equipping students with the knowledge and skills necessary for leadership roles in academia, media, and corporate communications. The department ensures that its curriculum remains up to date with industry trends, technological advancements, and emerging media practices.

PGD Programme Department

The PGD Programme is currently led by Dr. Kenneth Ogbunehu serves as a bridge for students transitioning into advanced studies or seeking professional qualifications in communication and media. This department is dedicated to providing specialized knowledge that enhances career prospects in journalism, public relations, digital marketing, and media production.
Faculty members and junior faculty oversee classroom instruction, research assignments, and project work. Students engage in hands-on media training, case study analysis, and practical assignments that simulate real-world scenarios. Directorate of Student Affairs

The Directorate of Student Affairs/Students Advisory Unit provides guidance and support to international students, ensuring their seamless integration into the academic and social environment. The unit assists with visa processing, accommodation arrangements, and cultural orientation.An Admissions Officer leads the unit, handling inquiries, enrolment processes, and compliance with immigration policies. Additionally, Student Relations Officers offer advisory services, mentorship programs, and peer networking opportunities to create an inclusive learning environment.
The Directorate works directly with the different departments, interfaces with the respective class leadership of all the academic programmes and acts as a bridge between the Departments and the Scholars as well as help the scholars navigate through knotty issues pertaining to registration, admissions and general required activities, while studying at SCMS.
Academics & Assessment Department

The Assessment & Evaluation department is led by Amazing-Grace Ajayi and is tasked with maintaining the academic integrity of the institution by ensuring fair and transparent assessment processes. It develops and implements policies for student evaluations, grading systems, and academic performance tracking.
A dedicated Records Officer manages student records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in grading, transcripts, and certification. The department also collaborates with faculty members to enhance assessment methodologies, incorporating digital tools and AI-driven analytics to monitor student progress effectively.
