The Faculty embodies the School’s commitment to academic excellence, innovation, and professional relevance—guiding students through contemporary theories and real-world applications in communication, media, and consultancy. Faculty members are actively engaged in research, consultancy, and professional collaborations that enrich teaching, promote intellectual growth, and strengthen the School’s ties to the global communication community.
The Faculty Board serves as the key academic organ responsible for advising and directing the academic affairs of the School. Chaired by the Dean, the Board includes Senior Lecturers & Faculty Grade Officers, Programme Coordinators, and Departmental representatives. It provides strategic guidance on curriculum design, research priorities, faculty development, and student assessment. The Faculty Board ensures that all programmes maintain alignment with SCMS’s Quality Assurance Framework and international standards in communication education. Through its deliberations and policy oversight, the Board upholds the integrity, dynamism, and academic distinction that define the School of Communications & Media Studies.

SCMS Faculty Engagement Protocol provides a structured framework for how faculty members of the School of Communications & Media Studies interact with students, management, and one another in the delivery of academic programmes. It defines expectations for teaching, mentoring, assessment, communication, and professional conduct, ensuring that all academic engagements uphold the School’s standards of excellence, integrity, and student-centered learning.
The protocol promotes consistency, accountability, and collaboration by guiding how faculty prepare course materials, conduct lectures, supervise projects, provide feedback, and participate in academic governance. It also supports respectful, timely, and transparent communication between faculty and students, helping to create a productive learning environment.
